Well, 2013 is officially upon us and I couldn't be more weirded out. Seriously, where has the time gone? And although the passing of another year makes me a bit sad, new clothes always make me feel better!
2013's trends seem to be a mix of the old and new, with lots of edgy influence. Here are a few pieces I found that capture my eclectic style, and incorporate what's hot for the year!
1. MINKPINK Fatal Attraction Mini Dress
This cutout dress is an example of the
"Peekaboo" trend. It shows some skin without being trashy. Its simple, but still FIERCE, which I love!
2. Merona Small Crossbody
To highlight the Emerald Green trend, I chose this affordable crossbody from Target. Sometimes, carrying a huge purse is just waay too much of a hassle....not to mention the slight pain it causes on your shoulder (or is that just me?). This purse has great detail with the buckles and chain. You could dress this bad boy up or down, so you're def getting your money's worth!
3. Men's Patterned Flannel Shirts
Yes, this is a man's shirt. But since 90's Grunge is making a comeback, it's only appropriate to borrow from the guys. I tend to be more "diva" in my clothing choices, but every once in a while I like to be casual and comfortable. This flannel shirt would pair well with denim cutoffs, or to spice it up a bit, wear it with your Litas!
4. ASOS Leather Shorts
Ahh leather. I don't think it'll ever go out of style...and I don't want it to. It's soo hot. These shorts are simple, so they can pair with just about anything. Imagine this with black pumps, a fitted blazer and arm candy....GIRRLL
5. Sheer Striped Shirt
Bold stripes are a must have this season! I am obsessed with stripes (and leopard print, but more on that later) so I'll for sure be rockin' this trend. Snag this blouse from Forever 21 and pair it with a striped blazer! #DoubleUpOnPrints
